New Initiative

As usual the new year means time for fresh resolutions, renewed commitments and so on. This year is also no exception.

At ChildRaise we have started a new initiative for children with Autism and Developmental Disabilities. We started small. Initially it was a group of parents who started weekend activities for these children. But soon it was daily as the focus was on Daily Life Activities and Skill Enhancement.

Sensing the need of the hour, we thought of giving the activities a concrete shape and thus 'ChildRaise Activity Centre for Children with Autism and Developmental Disabilities' was born. The children are above the age of ten. Right now, The timings are from 11am to 2 pm from Monday to Friday. Here, we stress on the parental involvement in the programme and also encourage parents to be with the child if possible.

It is just the beginning. We hope to extend help to parents who are searching for centres and programmes that will enable their child to be self-reliant and participative in the family.

We believe in the saying -' Let the steps be small but the direction should be right.'
