National Open School
The NOS system is a fresh lease of life to students who are slow in their learning pace, children with learning difficulties, working students and school drop outs. It gives them an opportunity to further their educational prospects.
The NOS was started around 1985 after realizing that there could always be few children who will never attain proficiency in Maths and languages which are compulsory to pass SSC/ICSE or CBSE syllabus.
In NOS system, a variety of subjects could be chosen and students have option of just one language and various other subjects and options. NOS is essentially a correspondence course but classes are also held in different centers in Mumbai.
Its Website are www.nos.org and www.nios.ac.in
The dates for registration are 25th July to 25th August. With late fee till 1st September.
For Std X - 15 years of age completed by the end of December and having studied till Std. VII
For Std X - 5 passport size photographs, two certified copies of birth certificate.
In NOS, children who can't learn in the regular system enjoy the learning process without the heavy burden of languages and Maths.
